Bonnelles castle

There are many abandoned castle in the French countryside. However, their state of preservation may differ a lot. It is neither unusual to find buildings where restoration began.
As you may think, this castle’s rehabilitation had already begun when I explored it, at least for a part.
Thus some parts of the framework had been replaced
Nevertheless it felt like the castle’s restoration was frozen. The work had stopped. Even the scaffolding was covered with dust.
I acknowledge that, at this time, I thought the castle would fall into oblivion, like many others. It is obvious that I was wrong. It is now restored and even more beautiful than ever. Which just goes to show that nice stories are true!
