As I already mentionned it, when I am in holidays, I like to visit places from the local heritage.
I was near the sea, so I looked for something related to it. That’s how I heard about these monumental foundries ! What is a link with the sea ? That’s quite easy : the metal they produced was for the area’s shipyard.
To produce the amount of metal required for the constructions, very big tools were necessary. That’s why the vestiges are so big. Sadly there is nothing left but concrete and steel, but this skeleton is now protected.
Today the furnaces are still visible from far away. They remind the area and its visitors about its industrial history.
