The meadow workshop hall was originally located in the middle of a vast meadow and connected to the French rail network. It is now surrounded by forest. To reach it, you have to walk ten minutes along a small forest path.
The thing that surprised me most when I saw the building was its size. At about 150 metres long, it is equivalent to one and a half football fields. It is actually a very big hangar that can hold several whole trains. I believe large parties have been held there since the SNCF abandoned the site.
However, you can no longer hear the sound of locomotives or the bass of raves. Now, only the wind whispers through the leaves of the trees. The workshop hall has been waiting to be converted for over ten years, and it looks like it will have to wait a while longer. Nature, on the other hand, is not waiting, and has already begun to reclaim the site. In ten years’ time, there will be a forest inside!
